(STAFFA, ON) - Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) West Perth detachment were investigating the report of a suspicious person call on Line 24, west of Staffa when a motorcycle was located that had been reported stolen the previous day. Witnesses provided police with a description of a male who had fled from the motorcycle. A male matching the description was located by police a short distance away.
The male was arrested and charged related to the incident.
Michael CHAPMAN, 49-years-old, of the Township of Howick was arrested and charged with;
Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
Flight from peace officer
Operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited
Fail to Comply with Recognizance
The male was remanded into custody after a Bail Hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice, Stratford on June 9, 2019.
