(GODERICH, ON) - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Goderich resident with Impaired Operation and Fail to Comply with Breath Demand following a two-vehicle crash that took place in Goderich last week.
Just after 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 Huron OPP officers responded to a two-vehicle crash located at the intersection of Hincks Street and Blake Street East in Goderich. Upon arrival officers located the damaged vehicles and the uninjured drivers. While speaking with one of the drivers the investigating officer noted the driver had been consuming some alcohol.
As a result, the driver provided a sample of her breath into an approved screening device and her tests resulted in a fail. As a result she was placed under arrest for Impaired Operation - Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 Plus. She was then transported to the Huron OPP Detachment for Intoxilizer tests.
The driver was provided every opportunity to comply with the breath demand however she ultimately refused to comply with the demand.

She was later released from custody with a court date scheduled for July 8, 2019 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
