(HURON EAST, ON) - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is seeking tips from the public to help solve a recent break, enter and theft that took place at a vacant home located on Division Line, east of Kinburn.
The OPP investigation has revealed sometime between 12:00 p.m. on June 8, 2019 and 12:00 p.m. on June 14, 2019 suspects forced entry into the two-storey building through a rear door. Once inside the vacant home the culprits ransacked the home and stole some change, a bicycle, a rifle and a pellet gun.
The stolen bicycle is a black Schwinn men's bike valued at approximately $300
The stolen rifle is described as a single shot .22 calibre long gun, with a wood stock and a rusted metal barrel. The gun was manufactured prior to 1973. The make and model number is unknown.
The pellet gun is a black Crosman M4-177 .177 calibre pump-action.
