(BRUSSELS, ON) - On August 12, 2019, at approximately 7:45 a.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Huron County Detachment, Huron County Paramedic Services and Brussels Fire Department attended the scene of a single motor vehicle collision.
The collision occurred on Brussels Line between Cardiff Road and Browntown Road in the Municipality of Huron East.
A male driver and two male passengers in a pickup truck were pronounced deceased at the scene. A fourth passenger was transported to a local hospital and then airlifted to London with life-threatening injuries.
Identities of the driver and passengers are being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
Brussels Line between Cardiff Road and Browntown Road will be closed for several hours to facilitate the investigation. Motorists are asked to respect road closures in place while emergency crews remain on scene.
The investigation continues with the support of OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI).
