(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) - On August 6, 2019, at approximately 10:00 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a break and enter at a business on the 9900 block of Oxbow Drive, in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre.
The investigation revealed that once the culprit(s) gained access to the property; cordless drills, reciprocating saw, circular saw and grinder were stolen.
On August 9, 2019, the Elgin Middlesex Community Street Crime Unit executed a warrant in relation to break and enters in the area. As a result of the police investigation, Anthony RILEY, 24-year-old of Parkhill, Ontario has been charged with the following offences, pursuant to the Criminal Code (CC);
Break, enter a place - commit indictable offence
Possession of property obtained by crime, over $5000
Possession of a schedule I substance - methamphetamine
Fail to comply with recognizance
Possession of property obtained by crime, under $5000
Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000, two counts; and with,
Possession of an identity document, two counts
The accused was held in custody, pending a bail hearing.
