(MONKTON, ON) - On August 31, 2019 at approximately 3:30 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), West Perth detachment responded to a traffic complaint regarding a possible impaired driver in Monkton. Witnesses contacted police after observing a motor vehicle swerving in its lane.
Officers responded quickly and located the motor vehicle. In speaking with the male driver, it was determined that the driver's ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired. The driver was arrested and transported to the Sebringville OPP detachment for further testing by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE).
Jonathon CWIERDZINSKI, 27-years-old, of Huron Kinloss was arrested and charged with;

The male is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Stratford on September 9, 2019 to answer the charges.
The male driver had his driver's licence seized and a 90 Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension (ADLS) was imposed. The motor vehicle was towed and impounded by statute. - 30 -
