(GODERICH, ON) - A 38-year-old from Goderich remains in custody following an arrest made by Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) early Thursday morning.
On September 19, 2019 at approximately 12:15 a.m. officers were dispatched to a Keays Street residence to assist a homeowner with an intoxicated female that was damaging property at the residence.
Upon arrival at the residence officers observed a garage door and a vehicle windshield that had been freshly smashed. Upon locating the intoxicated female in the backyard the accused became uncooperative to the point she spit on one of the arresting officers. Upon arrival at the Huron Detachment she remained uncooperative and spit on the same officer again as well as another assisting officer.
Amanda WHEELER, 38 years of age from Goderich has been charged with three counts of Assault a Peace Officer, two counts of Mischief Under $5,000 and two counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order. She remains in custody with a court appearance scheduled for September 23, 2019 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
