(TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) - On April 24, 2020, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a sexual assault which occurred on a trail on the east end of Fergus.
At approximately 9:00 p.m., the female victim was sexually assaulted in the Elora-Cataract Trail east of Gartshore Street in Fergus by a man riding a bicycle. The suspect fled the scene on his bike and was last observed riding east towards Fergus.
The suspect is described as:
Caucasian.
5'9"-5'10" in height.
Approximately 150 pounds.
Sparse facial hair on upper lip and chin.
Round face.
Thin lips.
He was wearing black reading glasses, a black baggy hooded sweater, black pants, and a black "beanie" hat.
OPP canvassed the area but were unable to locate the man.
