Investigators with the York Regional Police Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Section have charged a 51-year-old man from the City of Vaughan with five charges related to sex offences against children.
In February 2024, investigators received information from Homeland Security Investigations regarding a man in York Region who was using an online platform to arrange meetings with children he believed were under the age of 16 for the purpose of committing sexual offences.
Investigators determined the location of the activity and executed search warrants at a residence and a business in the City of Vaughan. On March 7, 2024, the suspect was charged in relation to these offences.
