(SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) - On December 1, 2017 members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit - Grey/Bruce, OPP Community Street Crime Unit - Huron/Perth, OPP West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau and Bruce Peninsula OPP detachment participated in the execution of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) warrant at a residence on Berford Street, Town of South Bruce Peninsula.
As a result of the execution of the warrant, two people were arrested and transported to the Bruce Peninsula OPP detachment for processing. Police seized over $850 dollars in Canadian currency, over 300g of Cannabis Marihuana and drug paraphernalia.
A thirty eight year old male, David WHITE and an eighteen year old female, Skyler FOUGERE have been charged with the following offences under CDSA.
Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of Trafficking- under 3 kg CDSA 5(2)
Possession of a Schedule II substance-Cannabis Marihuana - over 30 grams, CDSA 4(1)
Possession of a Schedule II substance- Cannabis resin - over 1gram, CDSA 4(1)
Both parties were released on Promise to Appears and Undertakings before an Officer in Charge to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on January 4, 2018.
