On December 5, 2017, at approximately 4:30 p.m., the Guelph Police had a report of a robbery at a downtown business. There was a weapon branded however no injuries were sustained as a result of the incident. The suspect is described as male, white, approximately 5’9” with medium length brown hair coming out of the bottom of a black toque. He was wearing a black toque, black rimmed Ray Ban like sunglasses, black rain jacket and dark jeans.

Search warrant – arrest made
On December 5, 2017 members of the Guelph Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit and Technological Crimes Unit executed a criminal code search warrant at a residence in the south end of Guelph. A variety of computer systems and digital devices were seized as a result. Further investigation into these items resulted an arrest.
Brian Caldwell Jr., 29 years of Guelph has been charged with Possession of child pornography, Accessing Child Pornography and Distribution of child pornography. He also was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. He will appear in court on December 19, 2017.

Break and enter
On December 5, 2017, the Guelph Police investigated a break and enter to a Liverpool Street residence. The culprit(s) entered the garage and house area sometime overnight. No theft is reported.

Impaired driver arrested
On December 6, 2017 at 1:53 a.m., the Guelph Police conducted a traffic stop with a motor vehicle in the area of the Hanlon Expressway and Paisley Road. Investigation resulted in the driver being arrested.
Timothy Kelly, 55 years of Elora has been charged with impaired driving and drive 0ver 80mg. He will appear in court on December 19, 2017.
