The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 121 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Four people were arrested.
Man Charged with Failing to Comply RM17003724
In November 2017, the man was released from custody with conditions. One of his conditions was to attend CKPS on a specific day and time every week starting on December 5, 2017 to sign a form. He failed to do this yesterday. Attempts made to contact the man were unsuccessful and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Last night at 7:30 p.m. the 35-year-old Chatham man was located at his address, arrested on the warrant and charged with failing to comply. He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he has been held for a bail hearing.
Woman Charged with Public Intoxication CK17047421
Last night at 8:30 p.m. police located the highly intoxicated woman on Alexandra Avenue in Chatham. She was unable to care for herself and therefore, transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where she was held until sober.
The 50-year-old woman was arrested and charged with being intoxicated in a public place.
Man Charged with Mischief under $5000 CK17047389
Yesterday at 2:30 p.m. the man kicked the glass door at the front of the Canada Post Office in Blenheim causing it to shatter. He then left the area and police were called. The estimated value of damage is $600.
At 3:50 p.m. Wesley Hebert, 25 years, of Talbot Trail in Blenheim was located at his residence, arrested and charged with mischief under $5000. He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters and later released with a court date of January 9, 2018.
Man Charged with Failing to Comply CK17047430
In November 2017, the man was released from custody with conditions. One of his conditions was to live at a certain address in Blenheim and remain inside that residence between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. daily.
Last night at 11:15 p.m. an officer attended the mans address to ensure he was abiding by his curfew condition. The man was not home and his whereabouts were unknown. Therefore, a warrant for his arrest was issued.
Early this morning at 4:20 a.m. the 24-year-old Blenheim man was located, arrested and charged with failing to comply. He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he has been held for a bail hearing.
