In the early evening hours of December 26, 2017 a robbery was reported to the Owen Sound Police Service in which two males entered the residence of the victim and forcibly stole personal possessions.
While in the residence the accused males brandished a machete and damaged the victim’s wall and couch. The victim was threatened with death. The victim and the accused males were known to each other and the incident was the continuation of a prior disagreement over missing property.
A 23 year old male from Owen Sound and a 33 year old male of no fixed address, face a series of criminal charges including Robbery while armed with an offensive weapon, being unlawfully in a dwelling house, uttering threats and mischief. The 33 year old accused was also charged with breach of
his recognizance of bail stemming from unrelated charges.
Both individuals were held in custody for Bail Hearings to take place on December 28, 2017 at 10:00a.m.
