(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) - On December 31, 2017 at approximately 1:40 a.m. OPP officers were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) check on the Hanlon Parkway south of Wellington Street, City of Guelph. A female operating a 2005 Lexus entered the R.I.D.E program.
While speaking with the driver, officers detected signs of alcohol consumption and impairment. The driver was arrested for impaired driving and transported to a local detachment for further testing.
28-year-old Diana SULAIMAN of Bradford has been charged with Impaired Driving, Drive over 80 and Driving with Open Liquor. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on February 2, 2018 to answer to the charges. A 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and seven-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute.
