(TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) - On December 27, 2017 at approximately 12:25 p.m. the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint of a possible drunk driver. It was reported that the driver of a Volkswagen Jetta was showing signs of impairment. The OPP located and stopped the driver on County Road 22, Town of Erin.
While speaking with the male driver, officers formed the belief that he was impaired by alcohol. He was arrested and transported to a local OPP Detachment for testing.
58-year-old Andrzej KRUSZEWSKI of East Garafraxa has been charged with Driving while Ability Impaired by Alcohol, Driver with Over 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood, Fail to surrender Drivers Licence and Operate motor vehicle with no insurance. A 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on January 16, 2018.
