(TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) -Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a shoplifting theft from December 28, 2017 at Home Hardware on St David Street North, Fergus. OPP appealed to the public for assistance in identifying the suspects captured on surveillance in the event.

34-year-old David Perry JACOBS of Arthur has been charged with Theft (under $5000) contrary to the Criminal Code. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on February 13, 2018.

OPP would like to remind you that when someone shoplifts we are all affected. Retailers account for those losses in their prices. It leaves honest customers "paying the bill for those who steal".
