(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) - A 22-year-old from Huron East will be making a trip to criminal court in March following a traffic stop that took place earlier this week.
At approximately 8:44 a.m. on January 22, 2018 a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a Chevrolet Silverado travelling northbound on Brussels Line with what appeared to be an expired validation sticker on the licence plate.
A traffic stop ensued and it was confirmed the validation sticker on the plate was expired. Upon further checks it was also learned the driver was subject to an ignition interlock device condition. A check of the vehicle revealed the vehicle was not equipped with an Ignition Interlock Device, thus the driver was driving while Disqualified.
Gregory HEYINK, 22 years of age from Huron East was served with a ticket for the offence of Drive Motor Vehicle with Expired Validation Sticker and was also given an appearance notice to attend court in Wingham on March 8, 2018 for the criminal charge of Drive While Disqualified.
