(GODERICH, ON) - Members from the Huron-Perth Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) have laid criminal charges against a 33-year-old from Huron-Kinloss in connection to a stolen motor vehicle occurrence.
Huron OPP members were notified on Sunday, February 25, 2018 of a stolen Ford F-150 pickup truck that had been stolen from a business located on Dungannon Road. Police began patrolling for the stolen motor vehicle and just after 7:00 a.m. on Monday, February 26, 2018 a member of the Huron-Perth CSCU located the stolen motor vehicle parked in a parking lot on Huron Road in Goderich.
Further investigation led to police arresting a male suspect that was found to be in possession of not only the stolen pickup but also some keys and coveralls that were in the pickup at the time of the theft.
Ryan ALLEN, 33 years of age from Huron-Kinloss has been charged with three counts of Possession of Stolen Property. He has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for March 19, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
