(TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH, ON) - On Sunday February 18, 2018 at approximately 4:30 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a male entering unlocked vehicles on Schmidt Drive, Arthur.
The male was located and arrested. Investigation revealed the male was in possession of property and cash obtained from vehicle entries on Lynwood Place, Eastview Drive, Schmidt Drive, and Carrol Street. He also falsely identified himself to police during the investigation.
29-year-old Phillip (Phil) Doucette of Arthur has been charged with Trespassing at Night, Theft under $5000, Obstruct Police, Failing to Comply with a Recognizance, and Failing to Comply with a Probation Order contrary to the criminal Code. He was held for bail.
