(ST. MARYS, ON) - A male using an airsoft pistol was arrested and charged on February 22, 2018 in the Town of St. Marys.
Shortly before 6:00 p.m., the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were contacted after a business owner observed the male pointing the weapon at a storefront. No damage occurred to the business.
Police attended the area and located the male. Twenty-two-year old Micheal KOBIALKO of the Town of St. Marys was arrested and charged with Possession of Imitation Weapon for Dangerous Purpose. He was later released on a Promise to Appear. The airsoft pistol was seized.
An investigation concluded that no other weapons were involved and the incident was determined to be isolated in nature.
