(TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH-ERAMOSA, ON) - On April 22, 2018 at approximately 5:15 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was dispatched to a report of a vehicle stuck in the ditch on Jones Baseline near Mill Road, Township of Guelph-Eramosa. Officers were advised that the operator of the vehicle was attempting to get the vehicle out of the ditch.
Officers attended the scene and observed two parties with a Ford F150 that had been previously reported as stolen. A male party proceeded to flee the scene on foot while the female passenger was located and arrested. A search subsequent to arrest located stolen property with her. Stolen property was also located in the truck.
With the assistance of Wellington County Street Crime Unit, Wellington County Canine and the Emergency Response Team a male party was eventually located and arrested.
28-year-old Danielle MOSS of Cambridge and 31-year-old Dale SOUTHARD of no fixed address have been charged with:
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000 x 7
Possession of Break In Instruments
Possession of Identity Document x 3
Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
Possession of Meth x 2
Possession of a Prohibited device or Ammunition
The male party was also charged with Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest.
Both were held for bail.
