(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment is investigating the theft of fuel from a 1st Concession Road, Middleton, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.
On Friday, April 27, 2018 at approximately 10:21 a.m., police received a report of a fuel theft.
Through the course of investigation, it was determined that between Friday, April 13, 2018 and Friday, April 27, 2018, unknowns attended the address and proceeded to remove approximately 250 litres of diesel fuel from a storage tank located on the property.
Businesses and farms with large fuel storage should make sure pumps and the access to the storage tanks are secured with heavy duty locks. If the location is isolated and unsupervised for long periods of time, consider installing lights and security cameras.
