(ORILLIA, ON) - The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged a Scarborough man with drug offences in the City of Orillia.
On April 27, 2018 Orillia OPP members and the Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) received information regarding drug possession at a Barrie Road address in Orillia. Officers responded to the call and after an investigation arrested 3 people. Police seized a quantity of Cocaine, Crack Cocaine, Heroin and Cannabis Marihuana.
As a result of the investigation 19 year old Garret GRANT of Scarborough was charged with:
Two counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking Contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Two counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance Contrary to Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Possession of a Schedule II substance Contrary to Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear for May 29, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia.
