On Monday, April 30, 2018 at approximately 2:18 pm Caledon OPP responded to an incident on Airport Road between Old Church Road and Olde Base Line Road in Caledon East.
At this time, police responded to a 20 year-old male victim that had been stabbed with a knife. Police learned that the victim had been stabbed within his own vehicle after departing from an area gas station.
As the investigation continued police located the vehicle believed to be involved in the incident travelling eastbound on Old Church Road near Highway 50 and conducted a traffic stop. During this time, the males were apprehended by police without incident.
The victim in this matter sustained serious injuries from multiple stab wounds.
Police have charged 4 males with the following offences pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada:
A 17 year-old male from Brampton with Attempt to Commit Murder, Aggravated Assault, Fail to Comply with Undertaking, and Possession of a Schedule II Substance- Cannabis Marihuana - under 30grams.
An 18 year-old male from Brampton with Attempt to Commit Murder, Aggravated Assault, Fail to Comply with Undertaking, and Possession of a Schedule II Substance- Cannabis Marihuana - under 30grams.
A 19 year-old male from Brampton with Attempt to Commit Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Schedule II Substance- Cannabis Marihuana - under 30grams.
A 21 year-old male from Brampton with Attempt to Commit Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Schedule II Substance- Cannabis Marihuana - under 30grams.
All 4 males were held for bail and will be appearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville this morning.
