(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) - On May 2, 2018 Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended the Keady Trailer Park located on Grey Road 16 in the Township of Georgian Bluffs in response to a report of a theft of a motor vehicle with an attached trailer.
Just before 1:00 p.m. on May 2nd the victim went outside to investigate after hearing the sound of an engine. As he approached his vehicle he observed a male in the driver's seat. The vehicle was unlocked and the keys were inside. The vehicle drove away and was last seen heading southbound on Grey Road 3. The victim immediately called police to report the theft.
The stolen property included a 2005 Dodge RAM pick-up truck, black in colour with red quarter panels. A 20 foot trailer with MOTONUTZ Racing in large orange lettering on it as well as an email address of motonutz@hotmail.com in yellow lettering across the side of the trailer.
The trailer contained two custom made motorcycles: a red, 2011 Suzuki Hyabusa valued at $25,000. and a red, 300 horsepower Suzuki Hyabusa motorcycle with a custom paint job (dust and spiders) valued at $100,000. The motorcycles were not plated. They were used for drag racing in the London, Cayuga and Grand Bend area.
The total value of the stolen property was estimated at $200,000.
Grey County OPP, with the assistance of the OPP Grey Bruce Street Crimes Unit, continue to investigate and are seeking the public's assistance.
