(PERTH EAST, ON) - The diligent efforts of members of the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have resulted in the laying of theft related charges.
Shortly before 4:00 a.m., on April 25, 2018, a traffic stop was conducted on Perth Line 46 in the Township of Perth East. The driver was found to have warrants for his arrest.
As a result of a police investigation, with assistance from the OPP Huron-Perth Community Street Crime Unit, over $50,000 of stolen property was recovered.
Fifty-three-year old Kenneth ARSENAULT of Hamilton was charged with the following offences:
Possession of break in instruments;
Fail to comply with Undertaking;
Break, enter and theft;
2 counts of theft over $5,000.00;
Theft under $5,000.00;
3 counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.00;
Mischief;
Drive while suspended; and
Drive with no insurance
He was held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing.
