(THAMES CENTRE, ON) - On May 5, 2018, at approximately 11:30 p.m., a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was on general patrol on Hamilton Road, Municipality of Thames Centre.
The officer initiated a traffic stop after observing a traffic violation.
The officer determined that the 41-year-old, male, driver of the vehicle had consumed alcohol. The officer demanded a road-side breath sample and the driver failed. The driver was arrested and transported to a police station for further testing.
As a result of the police investigation, Craig VERSPEETEN, of South West Oxford, Ontario has been charged with Driving with More than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood, pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada (CC).
The accused is scheduled to appear in a London court room on June 7, 2018 to answer to the charge.
