(HURON EAST, ON) - A case that began as a missing person investigation has now turned into a homicide investigation.
A post-mortem examination that was conducted yesterday in London, Ontario has confirmed 27-year-old Laura WIGELSWORTH, from Vanastra was a victim of a homicide.
Further, this afternoon, at approximately 1:00 p.m., Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and took into custody an adult male in connection with the homicide.
Due to the ongoing nature of this investigation further details cannot be released at this time. Members from the Huron County OPP Detachment along with investigators from the West Region Crime Unit, under the direction of Detective Inspector Randy Wright of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) continue to investigate.
