(MIDLAND, ON) - On Friday May 11, 2018 at 2:38 am officers from the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a noise complaint on Willowbrook Court in the Town of Midland. Attending officers located the source of the noise and the responsible vehicle and spoke with a female behind the steering wheel. After speaking with the female, the officer entered into a drinking and drinking investigation.
As a result of the investigation the female driver Janelle ASSELIN, 30 years of Tiny Township has been charged with the following offences;
Care or Control While Impaired (Alcohol) contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada
Care or Control Over 80 mgs. contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada
Her vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for 7 days and further her driver's license is suspended for 90 Days under the Administrative Driver's License Suspension (ADLS) and she was released on a recognizance to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland on May 24, 2018.
