(PERTH EAST, ON) - Stunt driving incidents will not be tolerated in Perth County. A driver in the Township of Perth East discovered this while travelling on Perth Line 43 after being stopped by a member of the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). The driver was observed travelling more than fifty kilometres per hour over the posted speed limit shortly before 12:00 p.m. on May 16, 2018.
Forty-six-year old Barry LOGAN of Waterloo was charged with the following Highway Traffic Act and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act offences:
Operate motor vehicle-perform stunt-excessive speed;
Fail to surrender licence;
Owner operate motor vehicle-no insurance.
The driver's vehicle was towed and will be impounded for seven days. A seven day driving suspension was also imposed.
He is scheduled to appear in court at a later date to speak to the charges.
