(PARRY SOUND, ON) - On May 17, 2018 shortly after midnight, members of the West Parry Sound Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a possible impaired driver in the drive through on Bowes Street in Parry Sound, Ontario. An officer located the vehicle and spoke with the driver. The officer determined that he had consumed alcohol.
As a result of the investigation, Brandon MILKS, 22 years of age from North Bay, Ontario was arrested and charged with:
Operate motor vehicle - over 80 mg, contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the CC,
Walker MCCOLMAN, a 22 year old male from Thessalon was arrested and charged with:
Fail to comply with conditions of undertaking given by officer in charge contrary to section 145(5.1) of the CC.
Both accused were released on a Promise to Appear and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound, Ontario on June 7, 2018.
The OPP reminds motorists that there is no safe amount of drug or alcohol consumption when driving. Anyone who suspects a driver that is driving while impaired is urged to call police by dialing 9-1-1 immediately.
