(HUDSON, ON) On May 19, 2018 at approximately 8:00pm, Sioux Lookout Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to a report of an assault. Upon further investigation, with assistance from the Lac Seul Police Service, it was determined that an individual had been ejected from a truck box that was driven by an impaired individual. The injured male was air lifted to Thunder Bay with life threatening injuries.
As a result of the investigation, Stacy KEJICK (44) of Thunder Bay, Ontario was charged with;
Driving while Ability Impaired Cause Bodily Harm contrary to section 255(2) of the Criminal Code
Dangerous operation of Motor Vehicle Cause Bodily Harm contrary to section 249(3) of the Criminal Code
Driving with More Than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code
Drive Motor Vehicle - No License contrary to section 32(1) of the Highway Traffic Act
He was released by way of promise to appear in Sioux Lookout Provincial Court on June 26, 2018
