(BRIGHTON, ON) - On June 29, 2018 the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 401 eastbound in the Brighton area just after 5:00 p.m. involving a grey sedan. The motor vehicle was reported to have been involved in a collision.
Officers arrived on scene and found the male driver to be under the influence of alcohol. As a result of the investigation Patrick Glofcheskie (age 19) from Wilmot Township, Ontario was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and charged with:
Care and control of a vehicle while impaired
Care and control of a vehicle with more than 80mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood
Novice driver - Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) above zero
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg, Ontario on August 8, 2018.
(PORT HOPE, ON) - On June 29, 2018 the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 401 westbound in the Port Hope area just before 9:30 p.m. involving a silver sedan. The motor vehicle was reported to be all over the road and unable to drive in a marked lane.
Officers stopped the motor vehicle and found the male driver to be under the influence of alcohol. Noah Jason Fisher (age 20) from Cambridge, Ontario was arrested and charged with the following offences:
Care and control of a vehicle while impaired
Care and control of a vehicle with more than 80mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood
Driving while under suspension
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg, Ontario on August 15, 2018.
