(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) - Two separate incidents resulted in MindenHills residents being arrested and charged with alcohol related offences.
On June 30th, 2018 officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to complaints of a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner on Yankee Line. The vehicle was located and an investigation was initiated.
The driver, Darcy Schlosser, 27 years of age, was subsequently arrested and charged with the offence of driving a motor vehicle with more than 80mgs of alcohol, contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on August 2, 2018.
On July 3rd, 2018 officer from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the OPP responded to a two vehicle collision on Main Street in Bobcaygeon. The officer conducted an investigation which resulted in the driver, Bradd Barrett, 68 years of age, being arrested and charged with the offences of:
Driving a Motor Vehicle While Ability Impaired by Alcohol contrary to section 253(a) CCC
Driving a motor vehicle with more than 80mgs of alcohol, contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on August 9, 2018.
