(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) - On June 30, 2018 at approximately 11:00 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a serious collision involving an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) on 13th Line, Minto. Initial reports indicated a 51-year-old male, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected from an ATV and was seriously injured on private property.
OPP, Minto Fire Department and Guelph Wellington Paramedics Service attended the scene. Ornge Air Ambulance Transportation attended but was not utilized. The male was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the collision is currently being investigated.
The OPP would also like to remind off-road vehicle users that a helmet is always a smart idea, wherever you ride.
