A 24-year-old Oshawa male is facing charges after a stabbing in Oshawa Tuesday afternoon.
On Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at approximately 2:00 p.m., officers from Central East Division responded to Bloor Street East near Simcoe Street in Oshawa for a stabbing. Police arrived and located a male party with stab wounds. The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The victim, an innocent bystander, observed a dispute over a dog. As he attempted to intervene, he was stabbed by the accused. The accused fled in a vehicle. Police responded quickly and were able to identify the suspect and he was arrested at his residence on Garden Street in Whitby.
Christopher BAKER, age 24, of Garden Street in Whitby is charged with; Aggravated Assault; Assault with a Weapon; Weapons Dangerous and Breach of Recognizance. He was held for a bail hearing.
