(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment has charged a 34-year-old male with multiple offences including drug related offences following a two vehicle collision investigation at a Main Street North, Hagersville, Haldimand County, Ontario address.
On Tuesday July 10, 2018 at 1:28 p.m., OPP responded to Main Street North near Macneil Court for a two vehicle collision.
Neither driver was injured as a result of the collision.
OPP investigation determined a pickup truck was travelling north bound on Main Street North when it slowed to turn into a private driveway and was struck from behind by an SUV.
Further investigation determined the driver of the SUV did not have a valid driver's licence and the driver was subsequently arrested.
A search of the vehicle located a quantity of illicit drugs and Canadian currency.
OPP has charged 34-year-old Dameon HUNTER of Brantford, Ontario with:
Five counts of possession of a schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking
One count of possession of a schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking
Failing to comply with a probation order
Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
Drive a motor vehicle while disqualified
Careless driving
He is to appear in Provincial Court Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charges.
