(PERTH EAST, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Perth County Detachment is investigating a theft occurrence from an address on Perth Line 36 in the Township of Perth East.
Police were contacted shortly before 5:00 p.m, on July 16, 2018 by a resident reporting the theft.
During the overnight hours of July 16, 2018, an unknown suspect attended the address, gaining entry into an unlocked vehicle. Once inside, the suspect removed a quantity of change and departed the area.
Members of the Perth County OPP are reminding the public to consistently secure their property to prevent theft. Property crime can occur at any hour in both urban and rural areas. Unlocked vehicles are crimes of opportunity for criminals. Don't provide the opportunity!
