(NAPANEE, ON) - On Friday July 20th, 2018 at 2:10 p.m. officers with the Napanee detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police were dispatched to a possible impaired driver and motor vehicle collision. A black Ford F-150 had backed into a vehicle and then struck a fire hydrant in the area of John Street and Market Square.
Officers were given description of the driver and the licence plate number of the vehicle that had fled the scene. The vehicle and driver were located in a residential area on the east side of the town of Napanee.
Charged with impaired driving, over 80mgs and fail to remain is 43 year-old Michael BEATTIE of Greater Napanee. He was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to attend Provincial Court in Napanee on August 7th, 2018
On Saturday July 21st, 2018 at 08:56 a.m. an officer with the Kaladar detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police stopped a vehicle for failing to make a proper stop at the intersection of Skootamatta Lake Road and Highway 41.
The driver was given a roadside alcohol screening test and subsequently arrested for over 80 mg.
Charged with impaired driving, over 80 mgs, and disobey stop sign, fail to stop is 57 year-old John WELLER of Addington Highlands.
He was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to attend Provincial Court in Napanee on August 07, 2018
