(RED LAKE, ON) - Officers of the Red Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an adult male driver with impaired driving.
On July 23, 2018 at 10:53 p.m. Red Lake OPP received a complaint of an impaired driver traveling on 125 Highway towards Balmertown. Officers located the white ford F-150 and its driver. As officers were speaking with the driver they had a suspicion of alcohol. The driver was administered an Approved Screening Device (ASD). Failing the roadside device the driver was arrested and transported to the Red Lake Detachment for tests.
Chase COX, age 23, of Lively, Ontario, is charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in 100 Millilitres of Blood contrary to Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code
COX was released on a Promise to Appear in Red Lake Court, August 30, 2018. The vehicle was impounded for a minimum of 7 days and he was issued a mandatory drivers licence suspension.
