(QUINTE WEST) - On Wednesday August 08, 2018 officers of the Quinte West Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle on the westbound 401 near Glen Miller Road.
Officers stopped the vehicle after determining that the driver of the vehicle was prohibited from driving in Canada. Subsequent investigation determined that the driver's ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.
After arresting the male officers located over 1 kilogram of marihuana in the vehicle.
Matthew BURDOCK, 35, of Brampton has been charged with:
Driving while Disqualified, Section 259(4) of the Criminal Code
Driving with More than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood, Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code
Possession of a Schedule II Substance - Marihuana, Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
Michelle DAWES, 26, of Brampton was found with the male in the vehicle. She has been charged with:

The male and female were released on a Promise to Appear and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice Belleville on September 6.
