(INGERSOLL, ON) - On Sunday, August 5, 2018 at approximately 12:30 a.m., the Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a disturbance call on Union Street near Bell Street, in the Town of Ingersoll.
Police arrived on scene and located an adult male victim in medical distress. Oxford County Paramedics attended and transported the male with non-life threatening injuries to an area hospital. The victim was treated for his injuries and has since been released.
Through investigation is was discovered that the male victim had been stabbed several times during an assault. The victim and suspect were known to each other.
Kristopher WILSON, 18-years-old of Ingersoll, was arrested at the scene and he has been charged with Aggravated Assault.
He was released on a Promise to Appear and Officer in Charge Undertaking with a Woodstock court date of September 4, 2018.
