(NORTH BAY, ON) - On Saturday, August 11, 2018 at approximately 1:57 a.m., officers from the North Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere checks (R.I.D.E.) on Highway 63 at Trout Lake Road in North Bay, Ontario.
Officers checked a vehicle and determined that the male driver had been consuming alcoholic beverages. A further investigation revealed that the male was prohibited from driving a motor vehicle.
As a result, Abraham KAMERMAN, age 45, of Phelps Township, Ontario has been charged with:
Driving With More than 80 mg of Alcohol in Blood contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code (CC); and with Driving While Disqualified - Court Order (two counts) contrary to section 259(4) of the CC.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Provincial Court of Justice in North Bay, Ontario on August 21, 2018.
