(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment has charged three males following an investigation into a Break and Enter and Robbery at licenced marihuana growing facility in Norfolk County, Ontario.
On Tuesday August 28, 2018 at approximately 1:50 a.m., Norfolk County OPP and Norfolk County Paramedic Services responded to East Quarter Town Line where it was reported that suspects had entered a residence and discharged a firearm, injuring a 49-year-old male victim before fleeing the scene.
The male victim was transported to hospital with serious non-life threatening injuries.
A vehicle was located near the scene and is being examined by the OPP Forensic Identification Section.
Police believe the suspects targeted the victim's residence and there is no current evidence suggesting there is any risk to public safety.
Police have charged Samuel David LAMBERT, 22-years-old; Brad PARKS and Ryan DRABIUK both 23-years-old, all of St Catherine, Ontario with the following Criminal Code offences
Break and Enter;
Robbery; and
Aggravated Assault.
All three men are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe, Norfolk County at a later date to answer to the charges.
The investigation remains ongoing with members of the Norfolk County OPP Crime Unit under the direction of the Criminal Investigation Branch, Detective Inspector Darren Webster.
