(TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) - On Sunday October 7, 2018 at approximately 4:41 a.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a beige car in the ditch on Wellington Road 7 near Middlebrook Road in Centre Wellington Township with a possible impaired driver.
Police located the vehicle and while speaking with the driver determined that his ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol. A Roadside Screening Device (ASD) test was conducted which was resulted in a fail. He was transported to a local OPP Operation Centre for further processing.
38-year-old Tony HENDERSON of Bolton has been charged with Over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood contrary to the Criminal Code. A 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on October 30, 2018.
