(HURON EAST, ON) - A 15-year-old from Howick will be making a trip to court in March after he was stopped by police this past weekend in Seaforth.
At approximately 1:34 a.m. on January 19, 2019 a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped a compact car that was travelling on Main Street North in Seaforth after noticing the attached plate was not authorized for the vehicle in question.
Upon stopping the vehicle the officer spoke with teen driver and the driver blurted out that he was in "a lot of trouble" as he didn't have a licence or insurance on his vehicle.
A 15-year-old male driver from Howick was subsequently charged with Drive Motor Vehicle No Licence, Operate a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance, Use Plate Not Authorized for Vehicle and Fail to Apply for Permit on Becoming Owner.
His court date is scheduled for March 8, 2019 at Provincial Offences Court in Goderich.
A 17-year-old male passenger from Perth East was charged with Person Under 19 years of Age Possess Liquor.
Additionally the motor vehicle was towed from the scene.
