(HOWICK, ON) - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers continue to investigate a theft of lottery tickets that took place at a convenience store located on Patrick Street in the Town of Fordwich.
Investigators have since determined the theft took place around 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2019. The suspects used a common distraction technique to commit the theft. As the one suspect was being helped by the store cashier a second suspect stole approximately $1,000 worth of scratch off tickets from a container that was behind the counter.
The suspects were last seen walking southbound on Fordwich Line.
Investigators would like your assistance with identifying the two suspects in the attached pictures.
Suspect 1 is described as being 5'10" - 5'11" in height, he was wearing a black puffy coat with fur trim on the hood and an Oakland Raiders flat-brimmed ball cap. He has a thin goatee.
Suspect 2 is described as approximately 5'10 in height, he was wearing a black leather-like jacket and a red and black Air Jordan hat. He had a short unkempt beard.
