(CENTRAL HURON, ON) - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a 41-year-old from Clinton with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon following a traffic stop that took place yesterday.
At approximately 3:47 p.m. on February 5, 2019 a Huron OPP officer stopped a sedan on Orange Street North in Clinton for a traffic violation. Upon identifying the driver it was learned he was currently wanted by London Police Service for traffic related offences.
The driver was arrested on the strength of the warrant and was taken into custody. Upon searching the male police found him to be in possession of a spring assisted pocket knife, a prohibited weapon in Canada.
As a result, 41-year-old Jim Bob WARD from Clinton has been charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon. He was later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for March 11, 2019 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
