Snow squall warning in effect for:
Listowel - Milverton - Northern Perth County
Wingham - Blyth - Northern Huron County
Snow squalls are expected to develop this morning.
Lake effect snow east of Lake Huron will intensify later this morning and persist into the evening. Winds gusting to 70 km/h are also expected today resulting in blowing snow.
Total snowfall amounts may reach 25 cm over a few locations near Lake Huron by late this evening.
Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations.
