(SOUTH HURON, ON) - An initial traffic stop for an expired validation sticker ended up turning into a lot more for a London man.
On Friday, February 8, 2019 at approximately 10:25 a.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a compact car travelling southbound on Main Street South in Exeter with an expired validation sticker. The driver was stopped and the driver identified himself to the officer. Subsequent checks on the driver and the motor vehicle revealed the driver held a suspended driver's licence and the vehicle was uninsured.
Trevor STECKLE, 24 years of age from London has been charged with: Drive Motor Vehicle - No Validation on Plate, Fail to Surrender Permit for Vehicle, Drive While Under Suspension and Owner Operate a Motor Vehicle on a Highway - No Insurance. He has a scheduled court appearance in Goderich on March 19, 2019 to answer to the charges.
